John Hacker started Beekeeping in 1935 at the age of 11 and worked only with a veil. He was taught by his father who started in 1906. John Hacker provided Caroline and Rowena Guthrie with their first swarm. His Dry Drayton apiary had been established and the 'cottage' style hives, based on Nationals, built by his father. He was only a 'phone call away when challenging situations arose. | ||||
