Due to heavy losses, in common with many beekeepers in my area, I have had to cancel all orders for bees for the time being while I try to regain my own stocks. Hopefully I will be able to continue supplying bees in 2009.

My small village apiary of bees, of the famous Buckfast Superbee strain, produces pure honey for sale.

Some of my garden hives are the old fashioned WBC white hives, which make no difference to bees but they do look nice. The rest are the more practical modern type hives called British Nationals - not as pretty but easier to move around the countryside.
Through the winter once the bees are fed and safely wrapped up against the cold, it is my great pleasure to write about my beloved bees. At present there are two books published, both for children under ten, which serve as an introduction to bees and beekeeping in story form. It is apparently amazing how much more honey children want to eat after reading all about BELINDA BEE and her adventures! A third book, a small poetry book is due to be published shortly.
